The length of OKIOCAM USB cord is too short for me, can I use an extension cord?

OKIOCAM comes with a 4.8 ft (146cm) USB cord. It's possible to use a USB extension cord, but with certain limitations.

If the USB cord extension is longer than 11'5, it will make the USB signal too weak so the connection might possibly fail. In order to increase the signal for extension cords that are longer than 11'5, please consider buying a Powered adaptor USB extension or a USB extension with signal booster.
