OKIOCAM T and T Plus require a 4:3 aspect ratio in order to access the full A3 shooting area. However, some third-party video conferencing platforms only support a 16:9 shooting area, and thus hinder the ability to access the full A3 shooting area:
|16:9 Shooting Area||4:3 Shooting Area|
For reference, Microsoft Teams only support a ratio 16:9, and the resolution depends on the bandwidth.
Skype automatically decides the resolution and aspect ratio depending on the device being used, and doesn't allow users to manually change its settings.
How to Access the Full A3 Shooting Area
Following are the steps to take in order to access the full A3 shooting area with OKIOCAM T and T plus.
1. Attach the extension arm that came with your OKIOCAM
2. Launch OKIOCAM Snapshot and Recorder. Go to Settings by clicking the gear icon on the top-right corner. Under General Settings > Resolution select a resolution that is in 4:3 (see the chart below):
|Resolution||Known As||Aspect Ratio||A3 Size||Software|
|1280x720||720p, HD||16:9||×||Zoom, Google Meet|
|640x360||360p||16:9||×||Zoom, Google Meet|
3. Launch your chosen third party video conferencing platform (i.e., Zoom, Google Meet). Click the Share button in that platform, and choose to share the OKIOCAM Snapshot and Recorder screen. You will then be sharing your image in the full A3 shooting area.
