Normal cameras use optical or digital zoom technology which results in noticeably lower image quality. To counter the poor image quality, we have come up with our own technology called Lossless Sensor Zoom (LSZ) which enables our cameras to zoom in and out without any loss of image quality. To find more information about our LSZ technology click here.
Although our cameras are able to capture QHD or 4K resolution images. However, the zoom button only works when the resolution is set at a maximum of 1920x1080 or 2048x1536 depending on the model so that there will be enough pixels for zooming without any loss of image quality. There are two ways to get around this problem.
- Lower the video resolution (see the table below for the maximum supported resolution)
- Use the zoom bar in our software Snapshot & Recorder which can be downloaded here (there will be quality loss caused by digital zoom)
